A Comprehensive Review of Waste‐Derived Materials for Solar Still Performance Enhancement
ABSTRACT Solar desalination reduces energy use and produces freshwater sustainably, but its productivity is limited and cannot meet rising demand. Thus, solar desalination system improvements are sought to boost water productivity. Waste materials are abundantly available and burden the environment, making them low‐cost enhancers for solar desalination

An experimental comparison study between four different designs of solar stills
In this experimental work, four different solar stills (SSs) have been tested. The SS systems are conventional SS (CSS), Double Slope SS (DSSS), Pyramid SS (PSS) and Tubular SS (TSS).

Model-Driven Decision Making in Multiple Sclerosis Research: Existing Works and Latest Trends
Summary: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological disorder that strikes the central nervous system. Due to the complexity of this disease, healthcare sectors are increasingly in need of shared clinical decision-making tools to provide practitioners with

Heat treatments that alter the proportions of austenite and ferrite phases or induce the precipitation of phases such as sigma in duplex stainless steel UNS S32205 make it more susceptible to pitting and crevice corrosion. However, the effects of these treatments are not always evident when analyzed using the cyclic polarization technique.

Laser welding of duplex stainless steel disrupts phase balance, promotes nitride precipitation, and reduces fatigue resistance. Postweld heat treatment restores austenite and dissolves nitrides, but the resulting crystallography and phase morphology still impair fatigue performance.

MMSE acquisition of DSSS acoustic communications signals [PDF]
A method for acquisition of direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals based on a minimum mean-square error (MMSE) receiver is presented. An adaptive decision feedback equalizer (DFE), operating at the chip rate, uses the known spreading code as training data. A fixed number of unmodulated code periods is transmitted for acquisition purposes.

CP-DSSS: An OFDM Compatible Variable Rate Modulation for 5G and Beyond
Cyclic prefix direct sequence spread spectrum (CP-DSSS) is a recently proposed waveform that has been designed for coexistence with OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) in the same or a pair of parallel networks.

Abstract Many decision‐making processes are susceptible to errors and inconsistencies introduced by decision‐makers (DMs). The development of decision support systems (DSS) has brought about a way to guide DMs through complex decision scenarios. However, due to the complexity of the process, inconsistencies may still arise.

A Systematic Review on Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Obesity Prevention
ABSTRACT This systematic review examines the applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in preventing obesity, addressing a critical public health issue that affects a substantial portion of the population. With obesity rates rising alarmingly, particularly in the United States, this review synthesizes findings from 46 studies published between 2008 ...
