Realization and Control of DSTATCOM

2002
In Chapter 7 we have restricted our discussion mainly on the generation of reference currents. We have assumed that the shunt compensator, which tracks the reference currents, is represented by three ideal current sources. In practice however these current sources are implemented using voltage source inverters. The inverter circuit along with interface

Control of DSTATCOM Using S-Transform

2018 IEEE Innovative Smart Grid Technologies - Asia (ISGT Asia), 2018
Stockwell-transform (S-transform) based operation and control for a distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) is presented in this paper for power quality (PQ) improvement at point of common coupling (PCC). S-transform which is a timefrequency analysis technique is applied here to decompose the nonlinear load current to extract the harmonic components.

Modelling of DSTATCOM for distribution system

International Journal of Energy Technology and Policy, 2006
This paper deals with the simulation of distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM) for improving power quality of a distribution system feeding linear as well as non-linear loads. Nowadays, there are an increasing number of non-linear loads which inject harmonics into the system.

PV supported DSTATCOM using Icos& controller

2015 International Conference on Power, Instrumentation, Control and Computing (PICC), 2015
Photovoltaic (PV) supported DSTATCOM is proposed in this paper. The existence of harmonic in the power system has increased due to the high usage of power electronics. Harmonics has contributed excessive distortion to the voltage and current waveform and eventually affecting the power system.

Three-Level DCMLI-Based Grid-Connected DSTATCOM

2020
In this paper, the grid-integrated DCML inverter-based DSTATCOM is presented for elimination of harmonics caused by the nonlinear load and injection of active power harvested from PV arrays. It is well-known multilevel converters that can possess great advantages such as low switching losses and reduced size of filter requirement.
