Biomass‐Derived Transparent Bamboo Composite Films with Europium‐Based Photoconversion for Energy‐Efficient Smart Agriculture

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
A biomass‐based transparent bamboo composite doped with europium efficiently converts UV light into photosynthetically active red light, significantly enhancing plant growth and providing a sustainable alternative to petroleum‐based agricultural films. The rational design of sustainable light‐conversion agricultural materials is critical for enhancing ...

Enhancing Plateau Capacity of Binder‐Free and Self‐Supported Napkin‐Based Hard Carbon Anodes for Sodium‐Ion Batteries Via a Pre‐Oxidation Modulation Strategy

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Precise regulation of preoxidation time and carbonization temperature in biomass napkin‐derived hard carbon generates abundant closed pores and ultramicropores, significantly enhancing the capacity in the low‐potential plateau region (the high plateau capacity of 266 mAh g−1) and thereby achieving highly reversible sodium‐ion storage (395 mAh g−1 at 30

Self‐Hollowing Synthesis of Hollow Nanosphere‐Stacked CuO Electrodes for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical and Electrochemical Applications

open access: yesEcoMat, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
A template‐free, sol–gel self‐hollowing strategy enables one‐step fabrication of hollow nanosphere‐stacked metal oxide films directly on substrates. The resulting architecture enhances light scattering, charge transport, and surface reactivity, thereby improving performance in photoelectrochemical water reduction and electrochemical nitrate reduction ...

Effect of pH on recovery efficiency and anthocyanin composition of Clitoria ternatea extracts with application as lipid antioxidants in food preservation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
pH significantly affects the extraction efficiency of TPC TAC and the extracted anthocyanin components. pH 3 and pH 7 yield the highest extraction efficiency and antioxidant activity. Extracts at pH 7 are suitable as blue color additives for neutral pH foods and as good antioxidants for fat‐containing gummies.
