The majority of poorly differentiated thyroid cancer (PDTC) and anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) are thought to dedifferentiated from differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). PDTC is regarded as an intermediate form, through which DTC dedifferentiates into ATC.
