Off-line signature verification using DTW

Pattern Recognition Letters, 2007
In this paper, we propose a signature verification system based on Dynamic Time Warping (DTW). The method works by extracting the vertical projection feature from signature images and by comparing reference and probe feature templates using elastic matching.

Learning DTW-Shapelets for Time-Series Classification

Proceedings of the 3rd IKDD Conference on Data Science, 2016, 2016
Shapelets are discriminative patterns in time series, that best predict the target variable when their distances to the respective time series are used as features for a classifier. Since the shapelet is simply any time series of some length less than or equal to the length of the shortest time series in our data set, there is an enormous amount of ...

Lip print recognition based on DTW algorithm

2011 Third World Congress on Nature and Biologically Inspired Computing, 2011
This paper presents a method of lip print recognition using the Dynamic Time Warping algorithm (DTW). The presented method consists of two stages. In the first stage lip print image is subjected to pre-processing which aims to distinct the lip pattern.

Human Electrocardiogram for Biometrics Using DTW and FLDA

2010 20th International Conference on Pattern Recognition, 2010
This paper proposes a new approach for person identification and novel person authentication using single lead human Electrocardiogram. Nine Feature parameters were extracted from ECG in spatial domain for classification. For person identification, Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Fisher’s Linear Discriminant Analysis (FLDA) with K-Nearest Neighbor ...

A Robust Fault Isolation Method Based on DTW

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006
Abstract The precise mathematical model of industrial process is difficult to be obtained, so a fault isolation method independent of process mathematical model is proposed. This method is based on dynamic time warping (DTW) technology and isolates process fault by process data analysis .

Improving DTW for Online Handwritten Signature Verification

2004
Authentication by handwritten on-line signature is one of the most accepted authentication system. In a way, it is based on biometrics. It is embedded in our cultural habits and easy to use. The aim of this paper is to study two possible improvements in Dynamic Time Warping: matching process and distance computation.

Marking the Allophones Boundaries Based on the DTW Algorithm

2018 Signal Processing: Algorithms, Architectures, Arrangements, and Applications (SPA), 2018
The paper presents an approach to marking the boundaries of allophones in the speech signal based on the Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) algorithm. Setting and marking of allophones boundaries in continuous speech is a difficult issue due to the mutual influence of adjacent phonemes on each other.

Speech recognition using MFCC and DTW

2014 International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering (ICAEE), 2014
Speech recognition has wide range of applications in security systems, healthcare, telephony military, and equipment designed for handicapped. Speech is continuous varying signal. So, proper digital processing algorithm has to be selected for automatic speech recognition system. To obtain required information from the speech sample, features have to be

Aceleración del DTW en FPGA

2022
El DTW es un algoritmo que compara series temporales. En este articulo, diseñaremos un circuito digital en una FPGA para intentar reducir su largo tiempo de computación. Consiguiendo que el diseño calcule mas de 9000 cálculos por segundo.
