Photosynthesis regulation impacts carbon and nitrogen assimilation in the diazotrophic cyanobacterium Anabaena sp. PCC 7120

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Model of intercellular functional coordination in Anabaena. Summary Diazotrophic cyanobacteria fix both atmospheric carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) into biomass, but the two assimilation pathways are not compatible. Species like Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 physically separate C and N assimilation in different cell types.

Remote and On‐Site Working During the Covid‐19 Pandemic: (Re)Configuring Work Organisation in Border Control Services and the Nuclear Industry

open access: yesNew Technology, Work and Employment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT During the COVID‐19 pandemic, the nuclear and border control services had to reorganise their work, both on‐site and remotely, to continue their activities. Whereas employees came to work at the power plants and border posts every day, the health rules introduced by the public authorities and those relating to the lockdown of populations ...

Redundant Glycerol‐3‐Phosphate Acyltransferases Regulate Thermo‐Sensitive Genic Male Sterility in Rice

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Thermo‐sensitive genic male sterility (TGMS) lines play a pivotal role in two‐line hybrid rice breeding. However, the availability of elite TGMS germplasm remains limited, and the molecular mechanisms underlying fertility transition of TGMS lines are still poorly understood.

Dermatologic Findings of RELA‐Associated Autoinflammatory Disease

open access: yesPediatric Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Variants in the gene RELA have been implicated in a monogenic, hereditary form of Behcet's‐like syndrome. This case series describes the dermatologic manifestations of three patients with identified RELA‐associated autoinflammatory disease.

Segmental Infantile Hemangiomas That Involve the Midline Define Risk for LUMBAR Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A systematic review of clinical photographs from 91 patients with LUMBAR syndrome demonstrated that infantile hemangiomas in affected individuals were consistently segmental in morphology and involved the anatomic midline of the lumbosacral, sacrococcygeal, or pelvic regions. No cases were “partial segmental” or spared the midline.

Effect of blood meals and mating on biodemographic characteristics of Aedes albopictus

open access: yesPhysiological Entomology, EarlyView.
Lifespan did not differ between virgin and mated males and females. The number of blood meals (one and two) significantly reduced adult lifespan compared with those with no blood meal. The effect of the second blood meal doubled females' egg production and their reproductive output.
