Dual-band planar monopole antenna

A novel dual-band planar monopole antenna has been proposed. A dual band with wide bandwidth characteristics is observed which covers GSM, DCS, PCS, UMTS, and ISM bands. The results obtained clearly indicate that the proposed antenna is capable of generating good omnidirectional monopole like radiation pattern in all the frequency bands.

Dual-band metallic FSS-EBG sectoral antenna

In this paper we present a novel approach to create a dual frequency band of a new sectoral antenna design combining metallic EBG materials as a superstrate with a frequency selective surfaces (FSS) as a substrate. The geometry and working of the antenna are detailed and a design method is proposed.

In this study, a dual-band miniature antenna for LP-WAN covering 433MHz and 868MHZ bands is designed to fit into a 90*30mm terminal. Design methodology based on the use of two lumped components inserted in the radiating element is presented. The optimized antenna is fabricated and assembled with electronic components and battery.

Dual-Band Self-Diplexed Modulated Metasurface Antennas

This paper presents a simple and effective technique to design dual-band modulated metasurface (MTS) antennas. In MTS apertures, an equivalent surface inductance supports the propagation of a transverse magnetic (TM) surface wave (SW). The SW power can be gradually radiated at one frequency by periodically modulating the surface reactance.
