Design principles for a high pulse-up dual mode TWT employing dual electron beams are discussed. The tube employs a large hollow beam for CW mode operation and a reduced diameter, dense solid beam for the pulse mode. This scheme affords greater CW mode efficiency, reduced gain change between modes, and higher stability against backward wave oscillation

Dual-beam, six-terminal nanoelectromechanical relays
2013 Transducers & Eurosensors XXVII: The 17th International Conference on Solid-State Sensors, Actuators and Microsystems (TRANSDUCERS & EUROSENSORS XXVII), 2013A novel design for a six-terminal nanoelectromechanical relay is presented. The design includes a secondary beam in the signal pathway of the device, which allows direct contact between the source and drain. The advantages of the new design include avoidance of fabrication-based contact degradation during the isolation etch, lower sensitivity to high ...

Dual-Beam Near-Infrared Hadamard Spectrophotometer
Applied Spectroscopy, 2001A dual-beam Hadamard multiplexed spectrophotometer is described. The instrument is intended to work in the near-infrared region of the electromagnetic spectrum (900–1800 nm) and is based on the use of a linear Hadamard mask containing 255 multiplexing elements.

Calibration of dual‐beam spectroradiometric data
International Journal of Remote Sensing, 2006An experiment to determine the most accurate and repeatable method for generating instrument inter‐calibration functions (ICFs) is described, based upon data collected with a dual‐beam GER1500 spectroradiometer system. The quality of reflectance data collected using a dual‐beam spectroradiometer system is reliant upon accurate inter‐calibration of the ...

The high-energy dual-beam technique
Journal of Nuclear Materials, 1985Abstract This proposal represents a new experimental activity at the Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe (KfK) to study the effects of irradiation on the first wall and blanket materials of a fusion reactor. A special effort is made to demonstrate the advantages of the Dual Beam Technique (DBT) as a future research tool for materials development within ...
