Reconfigurable Multi-Beam Dual-Band Antenna based on Vee Dipoles

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2018
This paper presents a novel antenna configuration to support reconfigurable multi-beam feature with dual-band capability. The proposed design uses four double Vee dipoles with their arms printed on either sides of a substrate and fed through a single ...

A portable dual-beam photostimulator [PDF]

open access: yesBehavior Research Methods & Instrumentation, 1982
The construction of a compact, portable, dual-beam photostimulator of Maxwellian-view design is described. The instrument has ample parametric stimulus control, with provisions for added components or expansion, and is suitable for either psychophysical or electrophysiological applications.

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Dual-Beam and Tri-Band SIW Leaky-Wave Antenna With Wide Beam Scanning Range Including Broadside Direction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this letter, a novel dual-beam and tri-band leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure is proposed, which has the capability of wide beam scanning range including broadside direction.

Measurements of atmospheric turbulence with the dual-beamwidth method using the MST radar at Gadanki, India [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2004
A brief experiment was conducted during 24-29 April and 9-10 May 2002, using the MST radar at Gadanki, India, to test the dual-beamwidth method of estimating the turbulence kinetic energy (TKE).

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.

Al–Cu Composite Casting of Laser‐Deoxidized Copper: Bonding, Interfacial Chemistry, and Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Broadband interconnected receiver–transmitter surface for generating dual circularly polarized dual beams

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
We propose an interconnected receiver–transmitter surface (IRTS) for simultaneously generating left-hand circularly polarized (CP) beams and right-hand CP beams based on the Pancharatnam–Berry phase, thus realizing dual CP dual beam radiations.
