Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Dual-energy imaging in stroke : feasibility of dual-layer detector cone-beam computed tomography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Background: Dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) is increasingly available and used in the standard diagnostic setting of ischemic stroke patients. For stroke patients with suspected large vessel occlusion, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in the ...

Dual-Beam and Tri-Band SIW Leaky-Wave Antenna With Wide Beam Scanning Range Including Broadside Direction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this letter, a novel dual-beam and tri-band leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) structure is proposed, which has the capability of wide beam scanning range including broadside direction.

Measurements of atmospheric turbulence with the dual-beamwidth method using the MST radar at Gadanki, India [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2004
A brief experiment was conducted during 24-29 April and 9-10 May 2002, using the MST radar at Gadanki, India, to test the dual-beamwidth method of estimating the turbulence kinetic energy (TKE).

Recycling of NiTi Shape Memory Alloys: Fundamental and Technological Aspects of a Vacuum Induction Melting Processing Route

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The present study investigates recycling of NiTi shape memory alloys via vacuum induction melting. An ingot was synthesized from elemental Ni and Ti and subjected to three subsequent remelting cycles. Remelting increases process durations and impurity levels and adversely affects microstructures and functional properties.

Reconfigurable Multi-Beam Dual-Band Antenna based on Vee Dipoles

open access: yesAdvanced Electromagnetics, 2018
This paper presents a novel antenna configuration to support reconfigurable multi-beam feature with dual-band capability. The proposed design uses four double Vee dipoles with their arms printed on either sides of a substrate and fed through a single ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...
