Quadrature Dual Mode Index Modulation
IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, 2018Dual mode index modulation-based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DM-OFDM) was recently proposed to enhance the spectral efficiency of the existing variants of OFDM with index modulation. In a DM-OFDM system, all subcarriers are activated and modulated by two distinct constellation diagrams. Consequently, additional information is implicitly

Dual Mode Canonical Waveguide Filters
MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest, 1977This paper introduces a new form of dual-mode narrow-bandpass waveguide cavity filter. The filters, which can be constructed from either dual mode circular or square waveguide cavities, can realize the optimum transfer functions (including the exact elliptic function response).

The Study of a Dual-Mode Ring Oscillator
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2011An analytical investigation of a dual-mode ring oscillator is presented. The ring oscillator is designed using a CMOS 0.18-μm technology with differential eight-stage delay cells employing auxiliary input devices. With a proper startup control, the oscillator operates in two different modes covering two different frequency bands.

A statistical analysis of the dual-mode CMA
Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010Blind equalization algorithms with good convergence and tracking properties and numerical robustness are desired to ensure the good performance of communications systems. In this paper, we present transient and steady-state analyses for the dual-mode constant modulus algorithm (DM-CMA), a version of CMA that avoids its well-known divergence problem. We

Dual-mode digital revolution counter
IMTC 2001. Proceedings of the 18th IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference. Rediscovering Measurement in the Age of Informatics (Cat. No.01CH 37188), 2002Revolution speed measurement methods are analyzed. Three different measurement methods are presented and appropriate resolutions and relative errors are calculated. The method which measures the time between two pulses gives the best results for slow rotation speeds.

Dual mode control of a system with friction
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 1999The stick-slip friction system is known to exhibit very different macro and microscopic behaviors. For large movements, the system exhibits the familiar stick-slip friction characteristics; and for very fine movements, the elastic deformation seems to prevail.

Dual-mode operation in a scramjet combustor
10th AIAA/NAL-NASDA-ISAS International Space Planes and Hypersonic Systems and Technologies Conference, 2001The dual-mode operation was studied experimentally in a Mach 2.5 wind tunnel, to which a scramjet combustor model was connected directly. The total temperature and the total pressure of the air were 2000 K and 1.0 MPa, respectively. The air was heated in a vitiation heater. The mole fraction of oxygen was 21 %.

Dual-Mode Wideband Speech Compression
2007 IEEE 9th Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing, 2007Many bandwidth extension techniques attempt to predict the high-band frequencies based on features extracted from the lower band. Recent work suggests that such methods are limiting because the correlation between the low band and the high band is insufficient for adequate representation.

Dual-mode transmission networks for DTV
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2008Chinese digitalization process of television hasn 't achieved anticipated goals as yet. No new value-added services for consumers, dissymmetrical development between service patterns and operation patterns, and the enormous input cost, are the dominant factors. To address these issues, a new dual-mode transmission networks for DTV (DMTN) is proposed in
