Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Trapped mode resonances in metalo-dielectric structures with electric asymmetry

open access: yes
The excitation of an anti-symmetric trapped mode on a symmetric resonator structure is demonstrated through numerical simulation. The electrical symmetry is broken by using different dielectric substrates leading to trapped modes being excited onto a ...

Use of Additional Patch Conductor to Realize HTS Dual-mode Filter with Double-strip Resonator

open access: yes, 2013
We propose a novel transmit high-temperature-superconducting (HTS) dual-mode double-strip octagonal patch resonator filter with an additional patch conductor working as a perturbation.

Magnetic‐Field Control of Surface States in CoFe2O4 Thin Films for Nitrate Electroreduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐assisted CVD of heterometallic single‐source precursors modulates thin‐film surface electronic structure and interfacial charge transfer. Field‐grown (Cobalt ferrite‐1T)CF‐1T films exhibit stabilized electronic states, lower kinetic barriers, and markedly enhanced nitrate‐to‐ammonia electrocatalysis versus (Cobalt ferrite‐0T) CF‐0T ...

Electro‐Steric Ion Confinement in Polyelectrolyte Networks for Robust Nonvolatile Artificial Synapse

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte stoichiometry governs ion transport and retention in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. A PSS‐rich network creates electro‐steric ion confinement that suppresses ion back‐diffusion and stabilizes channel doping, enabling robust nonvolatile synaptic memory, linear weight updates, and low‐energy operation.

A dual-mode dual-band bandpass filter using a single ring resonator

open access: yes, 2009
A dual-mode dual-band bandpass filter with two transmission poles in both of dual-passbands is presented with the proper stub-loading and external-excitation of a single microstrip ring resonator.

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient

Controllable coupled-resonator-induced transparency in a dual-recycled Michelson interferometer

open access: yes, 2018
We theoretically and experimentally study the effect of the coupled-resonator-induced transparency in the Michelson interferometer with the dual-recycled configuration, which is equivalent to the adjustable coupled resonator.

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...
