Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Exploring the synergic effect of thermal tuning and mode-coupling for frequency stabilization in micromechanical resonators

open access: yesMicrosystems & Nanoengineering
This work investigates the synergic effect of thermal tuning and mode-coupling on frequency stability in a dual-mode micromechanical resonator. Under dynamic input excitation, the signal in one mode induces the frequency shift of the other mode due to ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Miniaturized Dual-Band Bandpass Filter Using Multilayered Dual-Mode Resonator

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2018
This paper presents a miniaturized dual-band bandpass filter using two coupled dual-moderesonators (DMRs). The dual-mode resonator is a short-circuited stub loaded square loop resonator.

Design of open-loop dual-mode microstrip filters

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents the design of compact second-order bandpass ¯lters based on dual-mode open-loop resonator. A ¯lter design procedure is provided to facilitate the design process. The paper also describes the nature of the inherent transmission zero

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

High-Performance Dual-Channel Photonic Crystal Terahertz Wave Modulator Based on the Defect Mode Disappearance of a Combined Microcavity

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
With the working frequency of wireless communication systems moving to a higher terahertz (THz) band, the design of high-performance THz wave modulators has become a pivotal issue to be tackled urgently in THz communication.

Dual-mode composite right/left-handed resonator microwave bandpass filters

open access: yes, 2010
This thesis discusses the design and implementation of new dual-mode ring resonator filters using composite-right/left-handed (CRLH) line. Standard lowpass prototype design procedure for a Chebyshev response is employed in the design.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...
