A Bilayered Inorganic‐Metal Interface Enables Highly Reversible Aluminum Deposition for Long‐Life Aqueous Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an

A Compact and Wideband Dual-Polarized Antenna Using Folded Loops

open access: yes, 2018
A novel dual-polarized antenna using folded loops is presented in this paper. The proposed dual-polarized antenna is composed of four triangle loops, which is developed from a single polarized antenna with two triangle loops.

Unraveling the Electronic Structure of Silicon Vacancy Centers in 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electronic structure of the silicon vacancy in 4H‐SiC is probed via transient absorption spectroscopy, uncovering previously inaccessible excited states of the quartet and doublet spin channels, including the V2' transition. In combination with theoretical analysis, a comprehensive picture of the electronic structure is established.

A dual-band rectangular patch antenna stacked with parasitic gridded patch

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]This paper describes a new aperture-coupled microstrip patch antenna with H-shaped slots for dual-band and dual-polarized operations. Two orthogonal modes are excited in a single long rectangular patch to achieve the two resonant frequencies ...

Study of the Colocated Dual-Polarized MIMO Capacity Composed of Dipole and Loop Antennas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2015
The colocated dual-polarized dipole (DPD) and dual-polarized loop (DPL) MIMO channel performances are compared. Computation results show that, for the ideal electric and magnetic dipoles, the dual-polarized MIMO systems have identical channel capacity ...

Glissile Interphase Boundaries Enable Collective Phase Switching in Epitaxial Polar Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A triple point is identified in the phase diagram of low‐symmetry epitaxial BiFeO3 thin film along with an extended regime of phase competition associated with a flattened energy landscape. The electromechanical response is shown to be governed by correlated interphase‐boundary motion, including scale‐free avalanche dynamics characteristic of systems ...

Chiral Phase Change Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates reversible, non‐volatile phase transitions in chiral Ge2${\rm Ge}_2$Sb2${\rm Sb}_2$Te5${\rm Te}_5$ (GST) nanohelices for high‐speed optical modulation of chirality and dynamic control of the state of polarization (SOP). The chiral nanostructures are fabricated using a highly directional, wafer‐scale physical vapor deposition ...

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for
