Broadband dual-polarized omnidirectional antennas

Proceedings of the 2012 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation, 2012
A broadband dual-circularly polarized (right-handed and left-handed) omnidirectional antenna and a broadband dual-linearly (horizontally and vertically) polarized omnidirectional antenna are presented. Both dual-polarized omnidirectional antennas have a bandwidth of about 30%. Good omnidirectional radiation patterns are obtained for both polarizations.

Broadband Dual-Polarized Printed Arrays

19th European Microwave Conference, 1989, 1989
Two double-sided printed-dipole arrays are combined in the same aperture. The arrays operate efficiently in two orthogonal polarizations over a large band of frequencies. Experimental results verify the practical value of this antenna.

Dual-polarized plasmonic nano-cables

2009 11th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks, 2009
In this paper we discuss eigenmodes propagating in plasmonic coaxial waveguides of nano-scale dimensions. Plasmonic nano-cables with an elliptic shape of a central rod are proposed. Break of the azimuthal symmetry makes it easier to excite dipole-type modes.

Dual Polarity Gravity Paper

We propose a unified conceptual and mathematical framework in which gravity exists in two conserved and interacting modes: Attractive Gravity (AG), which is locally bound to mass, and Repellent Gravity (RG), which exists as a free, dispersed substrate permeating the cosmos.

Dual polarized smart antenna beams

Proceedings of Vehicular Technology Conference - VTC, 2002
Interest has centered on the use of "smart antennas" in cellular as well as DCS 1800/PCS 1900 bands with a view to obtaining significantly improved spectral efficiencies, better quality of service, higher capacities, and improved coverage, while at the same time achieving significant savings in base station costs.

Wideband Dual-Polarized Patch Antenna

2006 10th IEEE Singapore International Conference on Communication Systems, 2006
Dual-polarized L-probe patch antennas afford wide impedance bandwidth and increased channel capacity. However, due to the close proximity, the coupling between the two input ports remains an important problem. In this paper, we introduce the use of a novel 180deg broadband microstrip balun which delivers both balanced power splitting and consistent ...

Dual-polarized flat array antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1995 Digest, 2002
In Europe, satellite broadcasting services such as ASTRA are getting more popular. The services currently use 4-types of communication satellites with 516 channels. It is necessary for large number of channels reception that the antenna has a wide frequency band-width (10.7 GHz to 11.7 GHz) on both vertical and horizontal polarization with high ...

Dual-polarized dielectric resonator antennas

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2003
Two high input-isolation dual-polarized dielectric resonator (DR) antennas are presented in this communication. First, a slot-coupled feed technique with two narrow slots forming a "T" configuration is employed to design a dual-polarized DR antenna. Input isolation exceeding 35 dB has been obtained in the band for this design.

Dual polarization crank line antennas

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium 1997. Digest, 2002
When a crank line (CL) antenna is excited from its left and right input ports, it radiates right- and left-hand circular polarization (CP) wave beams, respectively. Each beam direction is determined by the radiation cell dimensions. For the use of a dual CP wave element, the directions of the two beams must be the same.
