Dual‐atom catalysts (DACs) embedded in nitrogen‐doped graphene have been widely studied for electrochemical CO2 reduction (CO2R), primarily yielding CO. However, achieving selectivity for C1 hydrocarbons remains challenging.

Encapsulins are protein nanocompartments that play an important role in iron storage. In the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin system, two cargo proteins called EncB and EncC contribute to iron mineralization. Here, we show that EncB and EncC generate iron‐containing minerals with distinct chemical compositions, suggesting that the composition of stored ...

Computation of H-infinity norm of linear discrete-time periodic systems [PDF]
We propose an efficient an numerically reliable procedure for the computation of H-infinity norm of discrete-time linear periodic systems. The new procedure is general being applicable to both standard as well as descriptor periodic systems with time ...

‘Guide and Prejudice’— How Argonautes recognize targets across domains of life
Argonaute proteins use short nucleic‐acid guides to locate and regulate specific targets across all domains of life. Despite striking diversity—from human gene silencing to bacterial immune defence—all Argonautes share a conserved three‐stage recognition logic: guide‐directed sampling, progressive target pairing with a conformational checkpoint and ...

Synechocystis strains deficient in succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) secrete more succinate than the WT under dark anaerobic conditions, supporting that SDH then primarily acts as SDH, not as a fumarate reductase. L‐aspartate oxidase (Laspo) from Synechocystis is functional under anaerobic conditions, reducing fumarate to succinate.

Artificial molecular machines and motors—Design and control of nanoscale motion
Molecules are constantly moving because of thermal fluctuations, but random motion alone cannot be exploited to perform directional tasks. Artificial molecular machines use chemical, electrical, or light energy to bias this motion. Molecular shuttles, rotary motors, and supramolecular pumps illustrate how nanoscale movement can be controlled and ...

Vibration Condition-Aware Dual-Branch Fusion Network for Battery SOC Estimation
Most state-of-charge (SOC) estimation methods for EV batteries use only electrical parameters, without considering operating environment factors such as mechanical vibration.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Charge polarization as an electronic descriptor for C–C coupling in photocatalytic CO2 reduction
The selective photocatalytic conversion of CO2 into high-value multicarbon (C2+) products remains fundamentally constrained by the intrinsic mismatch between ultrafast photogenerated charge carriers’ recombination and the kinetically demanding C–C ...
