Pseudo-Duals of Frames with Applications
AbstractWe show that there are duals {x*n} to a given (nonexact) frame {xn} that are not usual frames. In particular, these duals are not Bessel sequences. We call them pseudo-duals. A characterization and a constructions of pseudo-duals are given. Examples and potential applications of pseudo-dual theory are discussed.

Duals of g-frames and g-frame sequences [PDF]
In this paper we study duals of g-frames and g-frame sequences. We define oblique dual g-frames and characterize these kind of duals. Also, we introduce Type I and Type IIduals for g-frame sequences and verify some properties of them. Then, we state some conditions for existence of these duals.

Frames2: A Package for Estimation in Dual Frame Surveys
Data from complex survey designs require special consideration with regard to estimation of finite population parameters and corresponding variance estimation procedures, as a consequence of significant departures from the simple random sampling ...

Joint Calibration Estimator for Dual Frame Surveys
Many dual frame estimators have been proposed in the statistics literature. Some of these estimators are theoretically optimal but hard to apply in practice, whereas others are applicable but have larger variances than the first group.

Abstract To construct dual frames with good structure for a given frame is a fundamental problem in the theory of frames. The tensor product duals of tensor product frames can provide a rank-one decomposition of bounded antilinear operators between two Hilbert spaces. This paper addresses tensor product dual frames. We derive a necessary and sufficient

Dual frames compensating for erasures
We discuss the problem of recovering signal from frame coefficients with erasures. Such problems arise naturally from applications where some of the coefficients could be corrupted or erased during the data transmission. Provided that the erasure set satisfies the minimal redundancy condition, we construct a suitable synthesizing dual frame which ...

Dual frame video encoding with feedback [PDF]
A special case of multiple frame prediction is the dual frame buffer, where an encoder uses both an immediate past frame and a long term past frame for motion compensation. Using a dual frame buffer together with intra/inter mode switching improves the compression performance of the coder.

Properties of finite dual fusion frames
A new notion of dual fusion frame has been recently introduced by the authors. In this article that notion is further motivated and it is shown that it is suitable to deal with questions posed in a finite-dimensional real or complex Hilbert space, reinforcing the idea that this concept of duality solves the question about an appropriate definition of ...

The canonical and alternate duals of a wavelet frame [PDF]
AbstractWe show that there exists a frame wavelet ψ with fast decay in the time domain and compact support in the frequency domain generating a wavelet system whose canonical dual frame cannot be generated by an arbitrary number of generators. On the other hand, there exists infinitely many alternate duals of ψ generated by a single function.
