Dual-Band Dual-Sense Polarization Reconfigurable Circularly Polarized Antenna

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2019
This letter presents a novel dual-band circularly polarized slot antenna. The far-field polarization of the antenna can be switched electronically between left-hand circular polarization and right-hand circular polarization. A 50 Ω microstrip feed line is divided into four arms those excite a ground plane slot.

Dual-Band Dual-Mode Antenna with Polarization Diversity

Radioelectronics and Communications Systems, 2021
A compact dual-band dual-mode and dual-polarized (DBDMDP) antenna based on an asymmetrical Y-shaped microstrip line feeding along with a square ring radiator is proposed. The structure is loaded with two pairs of L-strips to extend the lower mode bandwidth (center frequency fc = 9.36 GHz).

Analytic Design Of Dual-Band, Dual-Polarized Lp-to-Cp Polarization Converters

2020 14th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP), 2020
A systematic procedure for the design of dual-band, dual-polarized linear-to-circular polarization converters is presented. This class of polarizers can convert linear polarization to orthogonal circular polarizations in two separate frequency bands. The polarization converter is composed of three electric admittance sheets.

Dual Band Dual Circularly Polarized Antenna with a Meanderline Polarizer

2018 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2018
In this work a dual band circular polarized array antenna is presented. The proposed terminal consist of an array antenna in which the radiating elements operating around 20GHz and 30GHz are nested one into the other in order to form a dual band antenna. A meander-line polarizer is used to realize circular polarization.

Dual‐band, dual‐polarized patch antennas

International Journal of Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Computer-Aided Engineering, 1995
AbstractTwo new configurations of patch antennas are introduced, which provide dual‐band and dual‐polarization operations. The two patches have a square and cross shape, and are printed on a single layer; the dual‐frequency and the dual‐polarization behavior is obtained by means of four narrow slots close to the edges.

Triangular Ring Antennas for Dual-Frequency Dual-Polarization or Circular-Polarization Operations

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2014
In this letter, triangular ring (TRG) antennas are proposed for dual-frequency dual-polarization (DFDP) and circular-polarization (CP) operations. By simultaneously exciting the two orthogonal modes of the TRG, the DFDP or CP performance is achieved. By varying the vertex angle of the TRG, the frequency ratio (FR) of the two orthogonal modes could be ...

Dual-band dual-polarization microstrip antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (IEEE Cat. No.02CH37313), 2003
The analysis of a single patch microstrip antenna based on the impedance model, emphasizing mainly the design considerations for dual-band and dual-polarization, is presented here. A length compensation technique is proposed to achieve the exact dual mode resonance with the desired accuracy.

Dual-band dual polarization microstrip antenna

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/CNC/URSI North American Radio Sci. Meeting (Cat. No.03CH37450), 2004
This paper describes the development of a multilayer dual-band dual-polarized antenna operating at L and C bands with a common aperture. Unlike earlier approaches, slot coupled patches are employed at both bands to reach cross-polarization suppression better than 30 dB.
