On the duality mapping sets in abstract M-spaces
The authors characterize various properties associated with support functionals in abstract \(M\) spaces. For a normed space \(X\), the duality mapping set \(J(x)\) associated with an element \(x\in X\) is defined as the set of functionals \(f^*\) in the dual space such that \((f^*(x))=\| x\| ^2=\| f^*\| ^2\) .

On upper semicontinuity of duality mappings [PDF]
We give new sufficient conditions for a Banach space to be an Asplund (or reflexive) space in terms of certain upper semicontinuity of the duality mapping.

Toy models of holographic duality between local Hamiltonians [PDF]
Holographic quantum error correcting codes (HQECC) have been proposed as toy models for the AdS/CFT correspondence, and exhibit many of the features of the duality. HQECC give a mapping of states and observables.

The optimal scheduling method of the power grid considering the node coupling degree and the duality of mutual inverse mapping is studied to effectively establish the random dynamic scene of the power grid and improve its optimal scheduling effect ...

Science, Dualities and the Phenomenological Map
AbstractWe present an epistemological schema of natural sciences inspired by Peirce’s pragmaticist view, stressing the role of the phenomenological map, that connects reality and our ideas about it. The schema has a recognisable mathematical/logical structure which allows to explore some of its consequences.

On the Generalization of a Multiplicity Result
In this work, we shifted a recent multiplicity result by B. Ricceri from a Hilbert space to a Banach space setting by making use of a duality mapping relative to some increasing function.

Electromagnetic dual Einstein-Maxwell-scalar models
Electromagnetic duality is discussed in the context of Einstein-Maxwell-scalar (EMS) models including axionic-type couplings. This family of models introduces two non-minimal coupling functions f(ϕ) and g(ϕ), depending on a real scalar field ϕ ...

Duality map characterisations for Opial conditions [PDF]
We characterise Opial's condition, the non-strict Opial condition, and the uniform Opial condition for a Banach space X in terms of properties of the duality mapping from X into X*.
