Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

On the structure of the solution set for a class of nonlinear equations involving a duality mapping
Sufficient conditions ensuring that the solution set of some operator equations involving a duality mapping is non-empty, compact and convex are ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The General Hybrid Approximation Methods for Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces
We introduce two general hybrid iterative approximation methods (one implicit and one explicit) for finding a fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping which solving the variational inequality generated by two strongly positive bounded linear operators ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

A D-induced duality and its applications [PDF]
This paper attempts to extend the notion of duality for convex cones, by basing it on a predescribed conic ordering and a fixed bilinear mapping. This is an extension of the standard definition of dual cones, in the sense that the nonnegativity of the ...

The cobordism group of homology cylinders [PDF]
Garoufalidis and Levine introduced the homology cobordism group of homology cylinders over a surface. This group can be regarded as an enlargement of the mapping class group.

The Wilson loop — large spin OPE dictionary
We work out the map between null polygonal hexagonal Wilson loops and spinning three point functions in large N conformal gauge theories by mapping the variables describing the two different physical quantities and by working out the precise ...

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Regularization of a strong-weak duality between pointlike interactions in one dimension
Pointlike interactions between bosons in 1D are related to pointlike interactions between fermions through the Girardeau mapping. This mapping is a strong-weak duality since the coupling constants in the bosonic and fermionic cases are inversely ...
