Neural implementation of psychological spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Psychological spaces give natural framework for construction of mental representations. Neural model of psychological spaces provides a link between neuroscience and psychology. Categorization performed in high-dimensional spaces by dynamical associative

Gauge-Independent Approach to Resonant Dark Matter Annihilation

open access: yes, 2019
In spontaneously broken gauge theories, transition amplitudes describing dark-matter (DM) annihilation processes through a resonance may become highly inaccurate close to a production threshold, if a Breit-Wigner (BW) ansatz with a constant width is used.

lincRNA6679 promotes FnPR1B expression via phosphorylation‐activated FnWRKY14 to enhance strawberry resistance to Botrytis cinerea

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
In strawberry, Botrytis cinerea induces the expression of the long, intergenic non‐coding RNA lincRNA667,which upregulates the transcription factor gene FnWRKY14. FnWRKY14 then binds to the promoter of the pathogenesis‐related gene FnPR1B, enhancing strawberry resistance to B. cinerea.

What is Computational Intelligence and where is it going? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
What is Computational Intelligence (CI) and what are its relations with Artificial Intelligence (AI)? A brief survey of the scope of CI journals and books with ``computational intelligence'' in their title shows that at present it is an umbrella for ...

Jasmonate Modulates Strawberry Susceptibility to Anthracnose by Activating SnRK2.1 to Regulate the WRKY50‐JAZ5 Module

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Colletotrichum spp., hemibiotrophic fungal pathogens, threaten global strawberry production. Jasmonate (JA) regulates plant‐Colletotrichum interactions, but its mechanisms remain unclear. Here we demonstrate that both exogenous methyl jasmonate (MeJA) treatment and elevated endogenous MeJA levels increase strawberry susceptibility to ...

Brain-inspired conscious computing architecture [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
What type of artificial systems will claim to be conscious and will claim to experience qualia? The ability to comment upon physical states of a brain-like dynamical system coupled with its environment seems to be sufficient to make claims.

FvMAPK6‐Mediated FvMYB44s/FvSWEET1 Dual‐Layer Regulation Modulates Sugar Accumulation in Strawberry Fruit, With FvSPS3 Enabling Quality–Yield Balance

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sugar content is a key determinant of fruit quality, and sugars also act as signalling molecules that regulate ripening processes, including anthocyanin accumulation. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying sugar accumulation and sugar signal‐mediated ripening remain incompletely understood.
