Surgical Management of a Large Dentigerous Cyst Associated With an Impacted Supernumerary Tooth: A Rare Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Dentigerous cysts are the second most common odontogenic cysts, typically forming around the crowns of impacted teeth. Their association with supernumerary teeth is rare. This report presents the successful surgical management of an unusually large dentigerous cyst linked to an impacted supernumerary tooth in the right maxilla.

Fournier's Gangrene and Purulent Peritonitis as a Result of Progressing Ischiorectal Abscess: A Case Report From Muhimbili National Hospital, Tanzania

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Ischiorectal abscess can rarely progress beyond the anorectal region to cause Fournier's gangrene, supralevator extension, and purulent peritonitis. Early recognition of disease progression, prompt imaging, aggressive surgical source control, and multidisciplinary management are critical to reducing morbidity and mortality in this life ...

Optimal model‐based design of experiments for parameter precision: Supercritical extraction case

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 7, Page 3775-3795, July 2026.
Abstract This study investigates the process of chamomile oil extraction from flowers. A parameter‐distributed model consisting of a set of partial differential equations is used to describe the governing mass transfer phenomena in a cylindrical packed bed with solid chamomile particles under supercritical conditions using carbon dioxide as a solvent ...

Disrupted Vestibular Nuclei Neuron Development in a Chick Model for Congenital Vestibular Disorders

open access: yesDevelopmental Neurobiology, Volume 86, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Children with syndromic, congenital vestibular disorders (CVDs) form a sac‐like inner ear with missing or truncated semicircular canals and experience delayed motor development with lifelong challenges to maintain posture and balance. How the abnormal inner ear affects downstream central vestibular neural circuitry has not been investigated ...

Evaluating the Hepatoprotective Effect of Phyllanthus emblica and Panax ginseng Powders on Acetaminophen‐Induced Liver Fibrosis in a Rat Model

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
Schematic illustration of the experimental design and the hepatoprotective effect of Phyllanthus emblica and Panax ginseng against acetaminophen (APAP)‐induced fibrosis in Wistar rats. APAP administration leads to NAPQI formation and accumulation, which causes GSH depletion and HSC activation. This ultimately becomes the primary cause of liver fibrosis.

Salivary Extracellular Vesicles: Paradigm Shift in Liquid Biopsy Diagnostics

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Biology, Volume 5, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs), lipid bilayer nanoparticles released by virtually all cells, serve as essential messengers for intercellular communication. Due to their involvement in several pathophysiological processes, EVs have recently gained considerable attention as potentially diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for various illnesses ...
