BRITTLE TO DUCTILE TRANSITION IN SILICON.
The brittle to ductile transition in silicon is studied by four-point bend testing of specimens containing controlled flaws. A characteristic increase in fracture stress is observed at the transition temperature which is directly correlated to the generation and motion of dislocations at the crack tip.

Process Optimization of Solution Blow Spinning for Poly (N‐Isopropylacrylamide) Fibers
Solution blow spinning has emerged as a safe and scalable technique for fabricating thermoresponsive PNIPAM fibers. The influence of key parameters on jet stability and fiber uniformity is determined through both rheological analysis and statistical process optimization. A Box–Behnken design reveals an optimized window for producing PNIPAM fibers below

First‐principles calculations reveal that ANaH3 (where A = Hf, Nb, Pd, Ru) perovskite hydrides combine structural stability, favorable electronic properties, and low hydrogen desorption temperatures (280–369 K). Strong metal–hydrogen interactions and reversible hydrogen storage characteristics identify these materials as promising candidates for ...
