Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Evaluasi Struktur Dengan Pushover Analysis Pada Gedung Kalibata Residences Jakarta (the Evaluation of the Structure by Using Pushover Analysis of Kalibata Residences Building Jakarta) [PDF]
Pushover Analysis is a means to provide solutions based on Performanced Based Seismic Design, which in essence is to find the capacity of the structure. Pushover analysis procedure to provide a static load in the lateral directions is increased gradually

Excellent combinations of strength and impact toughness are obtained in a bilayer composite of high‐strength carbide‐free bainitic (CFB) steel and high‐ductility twinning‐induced plasticity (TWIP) steel. The composite absorbs energy at small strains when the notch is placed on the TWIP side and at high strains when the notch is placed on the CFB side ...

Numerical measures of the degree of non-proportionality of multiaxial fatigue loadings [PDF]
The influence of the non-proportional loadings on the fatigue life depends on the material ductility. Ductile materials react with a shortening of lifetime compared to proportional loading conditions.
