Sedimentary Geology, 2010
Abstract The Cenozoic record of the north-western domain of the Duero basin is articulated at the surface through a set of continental depositional sequences called, from base to top, the Vegaquemada sequence, the Candanedo sequence, and the Barrillos sequence. These depositional sequences were deposited in continental sedimentary environments.

Large landslides induced by fluvial incision in the Cenozoic Duero Basin (Spain)
Geomorphology, 2015Abstract The Pleistocene opening of the endorheic Duero River drainage basin (northwestern Spain and central Portugal) has led to river incision, creation of steep valley sides, and development of large (> 0.1 km2) and episodically active rotational and roto-translational landslides along river reaches where a weak geological lithology has been ...

Spectral analysis of climatological series in Duero Basin
Theoretical and Applied Climatology, 1995General harmonic analysis (FFT) and maximum entropy spectral analysis (MEM) are used in order to study annual and monthly values of air temperature, precipitation and insolation in a number of weather stations in Duero Hydrographic Basin. The corresponding spectra estimates were prepared and compared.

Maximum entropy spectral analysis of the Duero Basin
International Journal of Climatology, 1995AbstractMaximum entropy spectral analysis for the estimation of power spectra is used to study monthly and annual spectra of air temperature and precipitation at 63 weather stations in Duero Hydrographic Basin. Annual data are first submitted to the maximum entropy method (MEM) and the resulting power found are analysed.

Nitrogen forms in epipedons of cultivated soils, duero basin, Spain
Arid Land Research and Management, 1988Abstract Content of various nitrogen forms in the epipedons of twelve cultivated soils of midwestern Spain was examined. Hydrolyzed‐N contributed about 80%, ammonium and amino acid‐N reached about 20% of hydrolyzable‐N. During an annual season significant variations of the inorganic‐N forms were observed, especially in (NO‐ 3 + NO‐ 2)‐N content.

Seismic Interpretation for Carbon Dioxide Geologic Storage - Duero Basin, Spain
Proceedings, 2013We describe here the interpretation done for the appraisal of a CO2 geologic storage site in a saline formation in the Duero basin, Spain. This interpretation was done in two phases: (1) using 2D data only, (2) using 2D data plus newly acquired 3D data.

Recent intraplate stress field in the eastern Duero Basin (N Spain)
Terra Nova, 1998Palaeostresses inferred from brittle mesostructures in the eastern Duero Basin show a recent stress field characterized by an extensional regime, with local strike‐slip and compressional stress states. Orientations of the maximum horizontal stress ( SHmax) show a relative scattering with two main modes: NNE to NE–SW and NW–SE.

Alluvial systems in the northwestern part of the Duero Basin (Spain)
Sedimentary Geology, 1986Abstract In the Miocene sediments of the northwestern corner of the Duero Basin (Spain) several synchronous depositional systems can be distinguished by their lithofacies, lithologic composition of the conglomerates, heavy mineral assemblages and textural characteristics of the sandstones. A first set of systems comes from the north and is formed by
