Effect of in situ amylase and fermented maize starch on texture and after‐cooking storability of lafun dough

open access: yesJSFA reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Lafun is made by fermenting and drying cassava chunks, which are then milled into flour and cooked into dough. Its quality characteristics are variety‐dependent, while it may become too soft or even liquefy during storage, leading to rejection by end‐users.

Boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer of Cu-water nanofluid over a moving plate with Soret and Dufour effects: stability analysis

open access: yes, 2021
Our main focus in this paper is to investigate the effects of Soret and Dufour known as thermodiffusion and diffusion-thermo on moving plate in copper water nanofluid.

Lectotypifications and taxonomic changes in the holoparasitic Orobanchaceae

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Based on further extensive studies of specimens in various herbaria, lectotypes are designated for many taxa of holoparasitic Orobanchaceae. In particular, 47 names in the genera Boschniakia (incl. Xylanche), Cistanche, Orobanche, Phelipanche and Phelypaea are lectotypified.

Cross-Diffusion Effects on the Onset of Double Diffusive Convection in a Couple Stress Fluid Saturated Rotating Anisotropic Porous Layer

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2016
In this paper, we have investigated the onset of double diffusive convection (DDC) in a couple stress fluid saturated rotating anisotropic porous layer in the presence of Soret and Dufour effects using linear stability analyses which is based on the ...

Numerical simulation for MHD Williamson fluid utilizing modified Darcy’s law

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
Objective of present investigation is to study peristaltic flow of MHD Williamson fluid in a planar symmetric channel. An incompressible fluid occupies the porous medium in a channel.

Perceptions of Patients and Health Professionals Regarding the Experience of Patients With a Hybrid Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

open access: yesResearch in Nursing &Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hybrid cardiac rehabilitation (HCR), which combines supervised center‐based and monitored home‐based exercise programs, gained popularity during the COVID‐19 pandemic. While HCR appears to be as effective as standard cardiac rehabilitation, patients' experiences within these programs remain largely unexplored.

A study on precise estimation of laminar burning velocity of lean hydrogen-air premixed flame (Effect of species diffusion models)

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal
Effects of species diffusion models on the laminar burning velocity SL of lean hydrogen-air premixed flame are investigated by performing one-dimensional numerical simulations of lean hydrogen-air premixed flames at an equivalence ratio of 0.5.

Soret-Dufour effect and higher-order chemical reaction on MHD Casson fluid flow past over a vertical plate with heat source/sink

open access: yes, 2021
The objective of this paper is to introduce the effect of Soret-Dufour, a higher-order chemical reaction on MHD Casson fluid with a heat source/sink over a vertical plate embedded in a porous medium. The observation reveals different parts of the flow of

Restoring Lateral Connectivity to Anthropogenic Riverscapes: Six Lessons From Stage Zero

open access: yesRiver Research and Applications, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Centuries of river modification, particularly straightening and incision, have severely reduced lateral connectivity between rivers and their floodplains. As a result, Stage 0 riverscapes, characterised by high lateral connectivity (e.g., anastomosing or wetland riverscapes), are now rare in anthropogenic landscapes.

Influence of Heat and Mass Transmission on the MHD Fluid Circulation in Conjunction with an Upright Surface in the Emergence of Radiation Thermophoresis and the Dufour Repercussions

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
The current research simulates the mass and heat energy transmission model on MHD fluid flow under concentration and temperature deviations on a two-dimensional viscous fluid along an upright facet.
