Borehole disturbance of ultra deep-buried pulverized coal seams with low-permeability under high ground stress

open access: yes矿业科学学报
The M1-7 to M1-9 coal seams traversed by the Zhaotong Tunnel feature high ground stress, low permeability, and gas outburst risks. Frequent borehole collapse and drilling jamming during construction severely constrain gas drainage efficiency due to ...

Kinetics and Morphology of Flow Induced Polymer Crystallization in 3D Shear Flow Investigated by Monte Carlo Simulation

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
To explore the kinetics and morphology of flow induced crystallization of polymers, a nucleation-growth evolution model for spherulites and shish-kebabs is built based on Schneider rate model and Eder model.

Ecologically‐Valid Emotion Signatures Enhance Mood Disorder Diagnostics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ecologically‐valid Divergent Emotional Functional Networks (DEFN), derived from dynamic functional connectivity during naturalistic movie watching. The DEFN reliably enhances diagnostic accuracy for mood disorders, including major depressive and bipolar disorders, demonstrating strong reproducibility across demographic factors and

Soft Confinement for Polymer Solutions

open access: yes, 2014
As a model of soft confinement for polymers, we investigated equilibrium shapes of a flexible vesicle that contains a phase-separating polymer solution.

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...

Discovery of dumbbell-shaped Cs*He_n exciplexes in solid He 4

open access: yes, 2004
We have observed several new spectral features in the fluorescence of cesium atoms implanted in the hcp phase of solid helium following laser excitation to the 6$^{2}$P states.

A Shape‐Adaptive, Performance‐Programmable, Self‐Healable and On‐Demand Destructible Robotic Skin via Self‐Strengthening Dynamic Silicone

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Enabled by the distinctive inter‐ and intra‐chain siloxane exchange in commercially available silicones as the dielectric layer, the omni‐adaptive robotic skin (OmniAdapt) integrates multiple advanced functionalities: programmable sensing performance via the self‐stiffening dielectric material, application as BPM sensor, shape adaptivity for electronic

Tailoring the interactions between self-propelled bodies

open access: yes, 2014
We classify the interactions between self-propelled particles moving at a constant speed from symmetry considerations. We establish a systematic expansion for the two-body forces in the spirit of a multipolar expansion. This formulation makes it possible

Fluorinated Carnitine Derivatives as Tools to Visualise Carnitine Transport and Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorinated carnitines, fluoromethyl carnitine (FMC) and [18F]fluoromethyl carnitine ([18F]FMC), are synthesised and established as powerful probes to interrogate carnitine biology. The multimodal detection facilitated by fluorine labelling, including 19F NMR, mass spectrometry, and positron emission tomography imaging, allowed for visualisation of ...

Chloroplast Stress Signals Orchestrate Epidermis‐Specific Remodeling of Mitochondria and ER Under High Light

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High light exposure triggers an epidermis‐specific remodeling of mitochondria and ER in Arabidopsis, driven by chloroplast‐derived signals. Live‐cell imaging shows that HL rapidly suppresses mitochondrial motility, followed by fusion‐driven elongation and ER cisternal expansion.
