The nematic dumbbell model

Journal of Rheology, 1992
Flexible polymeric chains (Kuhn chains) made up of nematogenic moieties are considered here. The simplest approach to the dynamics of such a system, in both the isotropic and the nematic phases, is that of modeling the chain as an elastic dumbbell where the ‘‘spring’’ law also accounts for the nematic interaction.

Theory of High Polymer Solutions (The Dumbbell Model)

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1951
Following the theories of McMillan, Mayer, and Zimm, and extending the previous theories of the author, the second virial coefficient A2 for high polymer solutions of the dumbbell model is calculated. The results are rigorous within the approximation of rigid-body potential.

Global Strong Solutions and Large Time Behavior to Thecompressible Co-Rotation Fene Dumbbell Model of Polymericflflows Near Equilibrium

Social Science Research Network, 2021
In this paper, we mainly study global well-posedness and optimal decay rate for the strong solutions of the compressible co-rotation finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model. This model is a coupling of the isentropic compressible Navier-

Bayesian Dumbbell Diffusion Model for RGBT Object Tracking With Enriched Priors

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2023
RGBT tracking can be accomplished by constructing Bayesian estimators that incorporate fusion prior distributions for the visible (RGB) and thermal (T) modalities.

The Liouville Theorem and the L2 Decay for the FENE Dumbbell Model of Polymeric Flows

Archive for Rational Mechanics and Analysis, 2017
In this paper we mainly investigate the finite extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model with dimension $d\geq2$ in the whole space. We first proved that there is only the trivial solution for the steady-state FENE model under some integrable ...

A Biomechanical Analysis of Dumbbell Curl and Investigation of the Effects of Increasing Loads on Biceps Brachii Using A Finite Element Model

, 2022
Dumbbell curl is one of the most important strengthening exercises for the upper extremity. This exercise trains especially biceps brachii. Exercise load is increased to achieve more muscle strength for the biceps brachii.
