The radiologic, endoscopic, and histologic findings in two patients with flaskshaped or collar-button collections of barium in the duodenum are presented. These abnormal mucosal depressions, which may be related to inflammation, were seen endoscopically and identified radiographically and have not been reported previously.

DUODENAL BULB ACIDITY AND THE NATURAL HISTORY OF DUODENAL ULCERATION
The Lancet, 1989Fasting and post-prandial duodenal bulb pH was recorded in 10 subjects with untreated duodenal ulcers (DU), 10 subjects with healed DU, and 15 healthy volunteers. During fasting, pH was less than 4 for a greater percentage of time in healed than in active DU.

GALLSTONE OBSTRUCTION OF THE DUODENAL BULB
The Lancet, 1968Abstract A 74-year-old woman presented with epigastric pain, vomiting, and constipation. Pyloric stenosis with acute obstruction was diagnosed clinically. X-ray revealed pyloroduodenal obstruction suggestive of a tumour. At operation a large gallstone was removed from the duodenal bulb. The patient recovered.
