Gut microbiota and biomarkers are linked to diseases like neurological disorders and metabolic syndromes. Ingestible capsule robots enable minimally invasive gut health assessment. This article proposes a promising direction for the advancement of capsule robots, integrating in situ sampling, real‐time diagnostics, and personalized therapy.

Exosomes From Intestinal Epithelial Cells Promote Hepatic Differentiation of Liver Progenitor Cells in Gut‐Liver‐on‐a‐Chip Models

The effects of intestinal epithelial cells and their exosomes on the hepatic differentiation of HPCs are explored in a gut‐liver‐on‐a‐chip. Exosomes from intestinal epithelial cells improve liver fibrosis. Moreover, the miR‐371‐373 cluster in the exosomes may mediate this effect by regulating the hepatic differentiation of HPCs.
