Abstract Duodeno-jejunal haematoma is described as a recognisable clinical entity following closed abdominal injury. Clinical diagnosis may be suggested by signs of duodenal obstruction, but plain radiographs of the abdomen, preferably followed by immediate barium meal, may establish the diagnosis.
