Quantification of sigma-phase evolution in thermally aged 2205 duplex stainless steel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
In this study, the evolution of sigma-phase development in a 2205 duplex steel was studied following thermal ageing in the temperature range 750–850 °C for periods up to 100 h.

Effect of PWHT and Electrical Parameters on Austenitic Phase, Sigma Phase and Corrosion in Duplex Steels S32205

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 4, April 2026.
Welding power and post‐weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 850°C influence phase transformations in S32205 duplex stainless steel, promoting sigma phase formation and reducing corrosion resistance. PWHT at 850°C also replicates HAZ‐like microstructures in base metal, enabling improved characterization of weld joint properties.

Influence of the forming process of corrugated stainless steels on their corrosion behaviour in simulated pore solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Stainless steels are formed by either hot working (HW) or cold working (CW) when used as reinforcement for concrete structures. The influence of the forming process on the corrosion behaviour is analyzed in depth in the present work. CW and HW corrugated

Elasto-plastic hardening models adjustment to ferritic, austenitic and austenoferritic Rebar [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The elastoplastic behaviour of steel used for structural member fabrication has received attention to facilitate a mechanical-resistant design. New Zealand and South African standards have adopted various theoreti-cal approaches to describe such ...
