Duplication grammars

Acta Cybern., 1999
A duplication grammar \(\Delta\) consists of a finite alphabet \(V\), a finite set of words \(A \subset X^*\) (the axioms), and three finite collections of duplication rules \(D_l\), \(D_r\), and \(D_0\). Each of these is a (possibly empty) set of triples \((u_1, v, u_2)\) for \(u_1, v, u_2 \in V^*\).
