Complete duplication of the shoulder blade has not been described so far in the literature. Two case reports with a duplication of the right shoulder blade in multiple malformations of the locomotor and postural apparatus are presented. In both children, the shoulder blades were mobilized and fused.

Duplications and Pseudo-Duplications
2015A duplication is basic phenomenon that occurs through molecular evolution on a biological sequence. A duplication on a string copies any substring of the string. We define k-pseudo-duplication of a string w that consists, roughly speaking, of all strings obtained from w by inserting after a substring u another substring obtained from u by at most k ...

Twenty-one children were treated for foregut duplications at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children over a 42-year period. There were 11 males and 10 females. The mean age at diagnosis was 1 year 6 months; antenatal diagnosis was made in 1 case. Respiratory and gastrointestinal (GI) presentation predominated.

A 3-month-old female infant was noted to have two near mirror image anal openings: an anterior, normally sited, anus and a posterior duplicated proctodeum. Ultrasound and X-rays were normal. Contrast X-ray showed 2-cm long non-communicating proctodeal duplication.

Summary A case of duplication of the stomach is reported. The presenting findings were those of high intestinal obstruction with vomiting, marked dehydration, and a palpable epigastric mass. Resection of the distal one-third of the stomach including the duplication was carried out. The recovery was uneventful.

A follow-up study was made of 77 hands for 6 months or more after operation for bifid thumb. Repair of detached thenar muscles and capsule is the most important procedure at the initial ablation of the extra digit. After reinsertion of the thenar muscles, the remaining problems are deformity of bones themselves, adduction contracture in the web space ...

Scapular duplication is an exceedingly rare congenital anomaly. We present a unique case of left-sided duplication without additional malformations other than those involving the left upper extremity. Treatment of similar cases has been successful, and further work-up for additional anomalies should be undertaken.

We report on a case of penile duplication in an eight-year-old boy. While diphallia was incomplete, there was a common root of the penis which divided into two shafts of different size, doubling in frontal plane. Only one urethra left the bladder along the lower and smaller penile shaft and ended with a hypospadiac meatus. After surgical plastic repair,

1. A case of duplication of the stomach followed over a period of 23 years is described. 2. Radiological evidence of peptic ulceration in the wall of the duplication is recorded. 3. Aspects of the aetiology, symptomatology and treatment of this rare condition are discussed.
