An Epidemic Model with Time Delay Determined by the Disease Duration
Immuno-epidemiological models with distributed recovery and death rates can describe the epidemic progression more precisely than conventional compartmental models.

Shariah Compliant Macaulay’s Duration Model Testing: Evidence from Islamic banks in Indonesia
The purpose of this research is to test Shariah compliant duration models on Islamic banks in Indonesia. This will be achieved using data of earning assets and risk bearing liabilities of Indonesian Islamic banks from 2009 to 2019.

Semiparametric Duration Models [PDF]
In this article we consider semiparametric duration models and efficient estimation of the parameters in a non-iid environment. In contrast to classical time series models where innovations are assumed to be iid we show that in, for example, the often-used autoregressive conditional duration (ACD) model, the assumption of independent innovations is too

Ship near-miss duration model and application analysis
ObjectivesThe near-miss of two ships is a special situation that ships will encounter, and it can be modeled in terms of the time-dimension perspective for evaluating potential maritime traffic risks.Methods In this paper, a temporal near-miss model is ...

Modeling durational incompressibility [PDF]
We show how incompressibility, a well-described property of some prosodic timing effects, can be accounted for in an optimization-based model of speech timing. Preliminary results of a corpus study are presented, replicating and generalizing previous findings on incompressibility as a function of increasing speaking rate.

Forward Inverse Relaxation Model Incorporating Movement Duration Optimization
A computational trajectory formation model based on the optimization principle, which introduces the forward inverse relaxation model (FIRM) as the hardware and algorithm, represents the features of human arm movements well.

Bayesian inference for the log-symmetric autoregressive conditional duration model
This paper adapts Hamiltonian Monte Carlo methods for application in log-symmetric autoregressive conditional duration models. These recent models are based on a class of log-symmetric distributions. In this class, it is possible to model both median and

Quasi-stationary-state duration in d-dimensional long-range model
Through first-principles molecular dynamics we study a d-dimensional classical inertial Heisenberg model with a range interaction decaying with distance r_{ij} as 1/r_{ij}^{α} (α≥0); α=0 (α→∞) corresponds to infinite-range (nearest-neighbor) interactions;
