OTUD6A in Airway Epithelial Cells Exacerbates Allergic Asthma by Promoting Airway Inflammation and Airway Remodeling Through Deubiquitination of hResistin/mRELMα

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates a novel mechanistic role of the deubiquitinase OTUD6A in asthma pathogenesis, uncovering its regulatory function in airway inflammation and airway remodeling through the stabilization of hResistin/mRELMα. This study offers a novel regulatory axis (OTUD6A‐hResistin/mRELMα) in asthma pathogenesis and OTUD6A inhibition as a potential

Dust storms and human health

open access: yesClean Air Journal, 2014
Dust storms play a pervasive role in the Earth system. They are events of considerable extent and of frequent occurrence in drylands. The amount of suspended material they contain is an important aspect of dust storms in relationship to health. They transport particulates, pollutants and biological materials for long distances downwind.

Dust Storm Event of February 2019 in Central and East Coast of Australia and Evidence of Long-Range Transport to New Zealand and Antarctica

open access: yesAtmosphere, 2019
Between 11 and 15 February 2019, a dust storm originating in Central Australia with persistent westerly and south westerly winds caused high particle concentrations at many sites in the state of New South Wales (NSW); both inland and along the coast. The

Neuroprotective Effects of Time‐Restricted Feeding Combined With Different Protein Sources in MPTP‐Induced Parkinson's Disease Mice Model and Its Modulatory Impact on Gut Microbiota Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) exerts protein‐dependent neuroprotective effects in an MPTP‐induced Parkinson's disease model. In casein‐fed mice, TRF improves gut barrier integrity and reduces neuroinflammation, possibly via modulation of Allobaculum and BCAAs.

Accuracy assessment of moderate resolution image spectroradiometer products for dust storms in semiarid environment. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Dust storms are strongly and negatively associated with the annual cycle of rainfall and coincide with the west and southwesterly winds in west and south west of Iran.

Dust storms

open access: yes, 2008
Dust storms are remarkable natural phenomena. They affect many countries in the Northern Hemisphere and, as such, have become an interesting research topic. We show that nowadays China is the number one publishing country of articles related to their study. On a world scale the number of publications on this topic is increasing exponentially.

Detection of New Dust Sources in Central/East Asia and Their Impact on Simulations of a Severe Sand and Dust Storm

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2019
Information regarding dust concentrations and size distributions is very important for determining air quality and aerosol–radiation–cloud interactions. Only by using a correct erosion database can the sectional dust emission scheme resolve detailed size

Early Radial Extracorporeal Shockwave Stimulation on Proximal Tibial Circular Osteotomy Site Enhanced Heterotopic Skin Wound Healing via Small Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A schematic diagram of the mechanism where small extracellular vesicles mediate the enhancement of heterotopic wound healing by radial extracorporeal shockwave stimulation at a proximal tibial osteotomy site. ABSTRACT Wound healing represents a complex biological process necessitating innovative therapeutic approaches, particularly for chronic wounds ...
