Hydrologic impacts due to application of dust suppressants

open access: yes, 2003
This study presents research on changes in hydrologic characteristics of disturbed land surfaces that have been treated with dust suppressants. The objective of this research was to develop a better understanding of the impacts, related to application of

Effectiveness of coal mine dust control: A new technique for preparation and efficacy of self-adaptive microcapsule suppressant

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2022
This study aims to make full use of the agricultural waste peanut shells to lower material costs and achieve cleaner production at the same time. Cellulose nanofibrils (CNF) extracted from peanut shells were mixed with acrylic acid (AA) and dimethyl ...

Fine Particulate Matter Constituents, Ozone, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A Large General‐Population Cohort Analysis With Extended Quantile g‐Computation

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective The aim of this study was to investigate whether exposure to mixture of individual fine particulate matter (PM2.5) chemical constituents is associated with incident systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and if ozone modifies this association and/or is associated with SLE onset.

Determination and Evaluation of Alternative Methods for Managing and Controlling Highway-Related Dust Phase II—Demonstration Project: TR-506, June 2005 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The State of Iowa currently has approximately 69,000 miles of unpaved secondary roads. Due to the low traffic count on these unpaved frontage two dusted roads, paving with asphalt or Portland cement concrete is not economical.

Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Interactions Between Anti‐Asthma Drugs and Medicinal Plants: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Asthma affects 260–300 million people worldwide. About 20%–35% of patients use medicinal plants with their asthma medication, often without telling their clinicians. Disclosure rates are low; up to 42% of asthma outpatients use herbal products, with no records in their charts.

AI‐Powered GPR Characterization of Peatland Underground Cavity Induced by Smoldering Wildfire: A Laboratory Proof‐of‐Concept

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
We present an AI‐assisted ground‐penetrating radar framework to noninvasively detect and quantify smoldering wildfire‐induced subsurface cavities in peatlands. A ResNet model accurately predicts cavity geometry from GPR images, enabling improved assessment of underground fire damage and hazards.

An Improved One‐Pot Synthesis for Tetramethylthiuram Monosulfide and Triphenylthiophosphate in Batch and Continuous Flow

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 8, August 2026.
The one‐pot reaction simultaneously producing two high‐value fine chemicals can now be carried out in both batch and flow modes, with elevated isolated yields of above 90% compared to previous methods. By using a more operational solvent, the selectivity, reaction rate, and separation efficiency have all been significantly improved.
