Compost Teas Reduce Verticillium dahliae Growth In Vitro via Direct and Volatile Effects

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 4, Issue 2, June 2025.
Compost teas suppressed the growth of Verticillium dahliae, the organism that causes Verticillium wilt in potatoes when V. dahliae was cultured with growth media containing compost teas. V. dahliae was cultured both with and without direct contact to the compost tea, and both methods suppressed V. dahliae growth. Graphical Abstract created in Biorender

Characterisation of liquid residue after collision between droplets and dust particles at micron scale

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
Dust easily triggers explosion accidents and occupational pneumoconiosis. Water mist is the most widely used dust suppression medium. However, due to the lack of scientific understanding of the adhesion state after dust-mist contact, the growth of mist ...

Starch-based hydrogel powder for enhanced dust suppression

open access: yesCleaner Engineering and Technology
Air pollution from fugitive dust poses a significant health risk to population in arid regions. Conventional chloride-based suppressants offer temporary dust control, leading to soil contamination and infrastructure corrosion.

Modelling soil dust aerosol in the Bodélé depression during the BoDEx campaign [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present regional model simulations of the dust emission events during the Bodélé Dust Experiment (BoDEx) that was carried out in February and March 2005 in Chad. A box model version of the dust emission model is used to test different input parameters

Effects of Road Dust Suppressants on PM Levels in a Mediterranean Urban Area

open access: yes, 2016
The abatement of road dust emissions is currently a major challenge for sustainable transportation, causing exceedances of limits on particulate matter (PM) and high population exposures to mineral dust and metals.
