Abstract Fear of failure is damaging in a host of ways yet is rife in many schools. Drawing on self‐worth theory, we explore whether fear of academic failure is higher in education systems with features that increase students' experiences of competition. To do this, we compare two very different education systems: England, where, for instance, national

The impacts of biological invasions
ABSTRACT The Anthropocene is characterised by a continuous human‐mediated reshuffling of the distributions of species globally. Both intentional and unintentional introductions have resulted in numerous species being translocated beyond their native ranges, often leading to their establishment and subsequent spread – a process referred to as biological

Interfacial Modulation of Lithium Deposition via an Adaptive Poly(Ether‐Thiourea) Protective Layer
An efficient adaptive protective layer based on thiourea H‐bonded supramolecular polymer is developed for lithium metal anodes. Physically, its viscoelastic properties promote a homogeneous Li+ flux, effectively preventing dendrite formation. Chemically, the polymer facilitates the formation of beneficial SEI components, such as Li₃N and Li₂O, greatly ...
