DVB-T Passive Radar Signal Processing
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2013This paper provides a detailed overview of the Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial (DVB-T) signal structure and the implications for passive radar systems that use these signals as illuminators of opportunity. In particular, we analyze the ambiguity function and explain its delay and Doppler properties in terms of the underlying structure of the DVB-

A Passive radar system is able to operate fully independent of illuminators of opportunity. In most cases these illuminator sources are traditional telecommunication or broadcast signals. During the design of a passive radar we are trying to exploit the opportunities of an already existing system, thus we need to face such problems that could be simply

The paper deals with a unit of broadband transmitting antenna used for digital TV broadcasting. The unit of antenna consists of four vertically oriented dipoles. The improvement of antennas parameter is achieved by replacing cylindrical dipoles by bowtie type. The feeding network of antennas unit is discussed here. Finally, unit of simulated antenna in

DVB-T mobile diversity reception
2010 IEEE Region 8 International Conference on Computational Technologies in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (SIBIRCON), 2010Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial (DVB-T), European standard for Digital Terrestrial Television, even designed for fixed and portable reception, offers various trade-offs between bit rate, robustness and mobile performances. Consequently, reception of DVB-T signal by moving vehicles becomes feasible under specific requirements on receiver's side,

Mobile broadcasting of DVB-T signals
IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, 1998Utilising the DVB-T specification fully will allow broadcasters choose from different modulation formats including QPSK for transmission of MPEG-2 signals over difficult media. Very rugged signals with excellent power and echo performance can be selected with DVB-T modems for contribution circuits.

Robust Sensing of DVB-T Signals
2010 IEEE Symposium on New Frontiers in Dynamic Spectrum (DySPAN), 2010Following the recent Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) decision to allow unlicensed use of the television white spaces (TVWS) in the US on a secondary basis, other regulatory agencies such as Office of communications (Ofcom) will follow suit as well.

Improving DVB-T for Brazilian environments
2006 International Telecommunications Symposium, 2006In this paper the improvement in the performance obtained by a Time Interleaving applied to DVB-T scheme are analyzed in impulsive noise environments. The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error rate probability for Oms, 100 ms and 200 ms of time interleaving length.

Passive ISAR With DVB-T Signals
IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2013As recently demonstrated, passive radars are able to detect and track targets by exploiting illuminators of opportunity. In this paper, it will be proven that the same concept can be extended to passive inverse synthetic aperture radar (P-ISAR) imaging.
