Performance evaluation of DVB-S2 and DVB-S2X systems
2015 IEEE International Conference on Communication, Networks and Satellite (COMNESTAT), 2015Recently, Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) has evolved to improve the spectrum efficiency of current multimedia communications. This paper summarizes the main features and presents the error performance for the second generation of satellite DVB (DVB-S2) utilizing an upgraded MATLAB simulation model.

International Broadcasting Conference IBC '95, 1995
A brief summary of the key elements of the different baseline systems, as defined by the digital video broadcasting (DVB) project, is presented. As a major issue, in order to ensure economies of scale in the manufacturing phase and equipment connectivity, attention is paid to identify the common elements of DVB systems for each delivery media.

Implementation challenges and synergistic benefits of DVB-S2 and DVB-RCS [PDF]
Advantech believes that the combined use of DVB-S2 and DVB-RCS technologies, plus complementary technologies such as Ka band satellites, can produce a very low cost broadband delivery platform for both broadcast and interactive services. A return channel is rapidly becoming mandatory to serve both the needs of the content provider and to enable ...

A novel approach to communications for DVB-T and DVB-H
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Consumer Electronics, 2008Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex (OFDM) is a system that is now used in a number of communication systems. It is a powerful technique that uses an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) at the transmitter to modulate a high bit-rate signal onto a number of carriers.

DVB-T and DVB-T2 performance in fixed terrestrial TV channels
2012 35th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2012This paper deals with the DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting-Terrestrial) and DVB-T2 (DVB-2nd Generation Terrestrial) standards and their transmission performance in fixed TV channels. For the analysis and simulation of performance of both standards, classical Ricean and Rayleigh multipath fading channels with 20 independent paths were used.

On the feasibility of DVB-T based passive radar with a single receiver channel
, 2017The DVB-T signals are an attractive illumination source for the passive radars due to their wide bandwidth and signal structure. The DVB-T standard permits the reconstruction of the received signal to enhance its signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
