Comprehensive Design and Analysis of a State-Feedback Controller for a Dynamic Voltage Restorer

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Voltage sags result in unwanted operation stops and large economical losses in industrial applications. A dynamic voltage restorer (DVR) is a power-electronics-based device conceived to protect high-power installations against these events.

Expert consensus on communicating tau PET results to persons living with MCI or dementia: Findings from a modified Delphi study

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION There is interest in incorporating tau imaging into clinical care because it provides unique diagnostic and prognostic information. Yet, clinicians lack guidance on communicating results. METHODS We conducted a modified Delphi process with practicing US‐based expert clinicians in human tau imaging.

Mechanism and Control Analysis of Synchronous Frequency Resonance in Distributed Power Generation System Connected to Grid

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 4, Page 2263-2276, April 2026.
Small‐signal modeling reveals that insufficient system damping positions conjugate poles near the imaginary axis, fundamentally explaining the SFR mechanism. A virtual resistance control is consequently proposed to damp the resonance and effectively suppress SFR, which is validated through Hardware‐in‐the‐Loop experiments.

Murine Progeria Model Exhibits Delayed Fracture Healing With Senescent Phenotype and Dysregulated Immune Response

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 4, April 2026.
Graphical Abstract This study explores whether a murine model of progeria has a delayed fracture healing phenotype that resembles chronological aging but with an accelerated timeline that could make it a valuable research tool. ABSTRACT An estimated 189 million bone fractures occurred in 2019 making it one of the most globally prevalent injuries ...

Association Between Colorectal Cancer Screening and Survival in Patients Older Than 70 Years: Results of A National Multicenter Retrospective Study

open access: yesJournal of Surgical Oncology, Volume 133, Issue 5, Page 572-579, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Colorectal cancer screening mainly targets a population between 50 and 70 years of age; however, it is inconsistently implemented in people over 70. The aim of this study was to analyze the association between colorectal cancer (CRC) screening, postoperative mortality, and perioperative and oncologic outcomes in a large population ...
