Efficient implementation of DVR's control

2009 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, 2009
This paper reports the detailed implementation of a three-phase dynamic voltage restorer (DVR). Such devices have gained popularity among the PWM-based compensation series devices. Two cases are studied: balanced and unbalanced voltage sags, which are the most frequent disturbances.

Comparison of GMP and DVR models

2018 International Workshop on Integrated Nonlinear Microwave and Millimetre-wave Circuits (INMMIC), 2018
In this paper, we present a comparative study on the behavior of digital predistortion (DPD) models, in order to mitigate the nonlinear distortions of RF power amplifiers. The models compared are Generalized Memory Polynomial (GMP) and Decomposed Vector Rotation (DVR).

DVR-Pompei

Proceedings of the 2001 conference on Virtual reality, archeology, and cultural heritage, 2001
DVR (Desktop Virtual Reality) Pompei project is aimed to the creation of a virtual reality desktop system able to connect and to visualize data and spatial models in the same environment, interface and three-dimensional context of interaction. The archaeological case study of the House of Vettii has been chosen because of the features of the monument ...

Designing and modelling of a DVR in Matlab

Proceedings of the 2014 15th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE), 2014
The question of the quality of voltage is rapidly increasing. New technologies are introduced and we are facing many new power quality requirements. Flexible alternating current transmission systems (FACTS) are modern devices in power transmission and grid stability.

A framework f or calculating fundamental DVR performance limits

2009 Digest of Technical Papers International Conference on Consumer Electronics, 2009
New systems have emerged that deliver hundreds of megabits per second of video to the home. This, coupled with deeper penetration of in-home video networking, will create demand for digital video recorder (DVR) performance to scale up dramatically as well.

Study of sag compensation with DVR

MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2006
Voltage dip analysis is a complex stochastic issue, since it involves a large variety of random factors: type of short-circuits in the power system, location of faults, protective system performance and atmospheric discharges. Among all categories of electrical disturbances, the voltage dip (sag) and momentary interruption are the nemeses of the ...

Analysis of the HIKVISION DVR File System

2015
The video security market has recently seen a great expansion in addition to an increasing usage of the Digital Video Recorder (DVR), a device for storing and managing video data on a hard disk under file systems. This study first analyzes its file system for evaluating the DVR and examines the HIKVISION, a video surveillance product supplier, and its ...

Personalized Catch-up & DVR

Proceedings of the 9th ACM Conference on Recommender Systems, 2015
The expansion of TV services such as DVR and, more recently, Catch-up have removed the temporal constraint typical of the Linear "appointment" TV enabling users to watch content they love at any time and on-demand. However, the DVR and Catch-up TV libraries, while providing a convenient time-shifted "on-demand" consumption, are indeed composed by ...

No-sag industrial power with DVRs

IEEE Potentials, 2007
Voltage sag is a relatively long-duration drop in line voltage. It is defined as a decrease between 0.1 and 0.9 per unit (pu) in alternating-current line voltage for durations of 0.5 cycles to 1 minute, where "per unit" is a fraction of the base voltage.
