Pseudohydrocephalus in dwarfs: The Russell dwarf
The Journal of Pediatrics, 1963The physician who cares for a child with an apparently enlarged head will usually exclude hydrocephalus first. Pseudohydrocephalus is a term suggested for those conditions where the head appears enlarged but measurement reveals a normal size. The Russell dwarf appears hydrocephalic because of his small face and body.

Dwarf is a highly compressed structure for computing, storing, and querying data cubes. Dwarf identifies prefix and suffix structural redundancies and factors them out by coalescing their store. Prefix redundancy is high on dense areas of cubes but suffix redundancy is significantly higher for sparse areas.

Dwarf males are often found in species with sedentary females, where they typically cohabit in varying degrees of intimacy. This is short of true parasitism because, in return for room and board, males provide the benefit of sperm. Sexual selection rarely seems to be an option to explain male dwarfing, whereas natural selection often can.

Exposed white dwarfs in dwarf novae
2008Hubble Space Telescope far ultraviolet spectroscopic observations of cataclysmic variable white dwarfs, exposed during dwarf nova quiescence, have yielded a number of new insights on accretional heating, photospheric abundances of the accreted atmosphere and rotational velocities of the underlying degenerates.
