A Three Demultiplexer C-Band Using Angled Multimode Interference in GaN–SiO2 Slot Waveguide Structures

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
One of the most common techniques for increasing data bitrate using the telecommunication system is to use dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM). However, the implementation of DWDM with more channels requires additional waveguide coupler devices

Linear and Nonlinear Crosstalk Evaluation in DWDM Networks Using Optical Fourier Transformers

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2005
A novel DWDM channel monitoring technique based on the conversion from wavelength domain to time domain by performing a real-time optical Fourier transform over the whole DWDM system bandwidth is proposed and experimentally demonstrated.

Electrically tunable ring resonators incorporating nematic liquid crystals as cladding layers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
We have demonstrated electrical tuning in ring resonators fabricated from silicon-on-insulator wafers by incorporating nematic liquid crystals (NLCs) as the waveguide top and side cladding material. Photolithographically defined electrodes aligned around

Monolithic temperature‐insensitive high‐Q Ta2O5 microdisk resonator

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 27, Page 5475-5483, December 2025.
Abstract We demonstrate a temperature‐insensitive high‐Q tantalum oxide (Ta2O5) microdisk resonator fabricated using electron‐beam lithography and inductively coupled plasma reactive‐ion etching. The microdisks exhibit a loaded Q‐factor of 4.25 × 105 at 1,550 nm, which more than doubles (∼9.3 × 105) following thermal annealing at 600 °C.

DESIGN OF DPSK MODULATOR AND DIRECT DETECTION RECEIVER FOR DWDM BASED OPTICAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Communication Technology, 2016
In this paper a 16-bit differential phase shift keying (DPSK) modulator is designed for 32 dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) channels. The DWDM channels are designed with 0.8nm separation in wavelength and operated at 4dBm input power. In the
