Whole‐Body Pattern of Muscle Degeneration and Progression in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To characterize whole‐body intramuscular fat distribution pattern in patients with sarcoglycanopathies and explore correlations with disease severity, duration and age at onset. Methods Retrospective, cross‐sectional, multicentric study enrolling patients with variants in one of the four sarcoglycan genes who underwent whole‐body ...

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

Dwell time and phase times for transmission and reflection

Physical Review B, 1989
The dwell time ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{D}$(E) and the transmission and reflection times ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{T}$(E) and ${\ensuremath{\tau}}_{R}$(E), respectively, associated with the interaction of a particle of energy E with a one-dimensional barrier are currently the subject of considerable controversy.

Dwell time on tableting: dwell time according to force versus geometric dwell time

Pharmaceutical Development and Technology
Dwell time is an important parameter responsible for the material deformation and the mechanical and biopharmaceutical properties of the tablet. Thus, it is widely used for scale-up purposes. The geometric dwell time (GDT) can be assumed based on the shape of the punch head and the diameter and speed of the turret.

The Time in Which We Dwell

Archives of Surgery, 1975
There is a wonderful saying—attributed to the Quakers, I believe—that one should not speak unless he can improve on silence. With this self-admonition, I should like to discuss three topics: (1) the international aspects of cardiovascular surgery and of our Society in particular; (2) the North American Chapter, its resources and its responsibilities ...

Improving Dwell-Based Gaze Typing with Dynamic, Cascading Dwell Times

Proceedings of the 2017 CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2017
We present cascading dwell gaze typing, a novel approach to dwell-based eye typing that dynamically adjusts the dwell time of keys in an on-screen keyboard based on the likelihood that a key will be selected next, and the location of the key on the keyboard.

Dwell times for light and electrons

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1993
Using a time-dependent scattering theory for light the authors obtain expressions for the time that light spends in a finite dielectric medium surrounded by vacuum, the so-called dwell time. Given an incoming wavepacket, they focus upon the light scattered in an arbitrary direction.
