Aspire Regional Collaboratives: A Flexible Model for Cultivating a Diverse and Inclusive STEM Faculty at Community Colleges

open access: yesNew Directions for Community Colleges, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Aspire Regional Collaborative (RC) initiative fosters community college and university partnerships that strengthen pathways to STEM faculty positions in community colleges. In this study, we draw from the designing educational innovation for sustained adoption (DEISA) framework to document the progress of the RC initiative.

Impact of Organo‐Functionalization on the Light‐Driven Hydrogen Evolution Reactivity of Molecular Molybdenum Sulfides

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Organo‐functionalized molecular molybdenum sulfides were synthesized using bidentate N‐donor ligands and investigated as light‐driven homogeneous hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalysts. Trends observed in the HER activity of these catalysts were elucidated by combining photophysical, electrochemical and computational studies.

Isodesmic Supramolecular Assembly of Phenylethynylene Bis‐Urea Macrocycles

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A soluble phenylethynylene bis‐urea macrocycle assembles in polar media via an isodesmic hydrogen bonded mechanism. Spectroscopic and morphological studies reveal nanoscale aggregates with short chain length, while guest additives modulate enthalpy and polymerization, demonstrating tunable supramolecular assembly.

Photosensitizing Au(I) Catalysis With Coumarins

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A Au(I) complex with a tethered coumarin fragment was synthesized and characterized by UV‐vis and emission spectroscopy. Its ability to facilitate photo‐driven cross‐coupling reactions through single‐electron and energy transfer events was evaluated. ABSTRACT Gold catalysis shows versatility in a wide range of challenging transformations, wherein light‐

Multivalent RNA‐Cleaving Agents on a Cubic Octameric Silsesquioxane Core

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
RNA‐cleaving agents on a cubic octameric silsesquioxane core were synthesized and characterized. Several catalytic systems of these structures were screened using hexaribonucleotide models. The best systems were then further used to study their catalytic efficiency in cleaving a HER2 mRNA model sequence. The induced cleavage sites were also determined.

Maternal and Neonatal Complications Associated with Breast Cancer Systemic Treatments—A VigiBase Disproportionality Analysis Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Pregnancy‐associated breast cancer (PrBC) presents therapeutic challenges. Understanding maternal–fetal safety of systemic anticancer therapies is critical. We performed a case/non‐case disproportionality analysis using the WHO global pharmacovigilance database up to January 2024, to evaluate maternal–fetal outcomes associated with breast cancer (BC ...

“Efforts to Surface the Unspoken”: A Mixed Methods Study of a Risk‐Informed Check‐In in Norwegian Family Mediation

open access: yesConflict Resolution Quarterly, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In family mediation, emotional discomfort and perceived unsafety may signal deeper relational risks, including postseparation violence. Standard intake procedures in Norwegian family mediation depend on disclosure to a nonclinical administrator before any therapeutic relationship exists, and research documents systematic under‐reporting at ...
