The spread of non‐native species

open access: yesBiological Reviews, Volume 101, Issue 3, Page 1197-1234, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The global redistribution of species through human agency is one of the defining ecological signatures of the Anthropocene, with biological invasions reshaping biodiversity patterns, ecosystem processes and services, and species interactions globally.

Counting Peaks at Height k in a Dyck Path

open access: yes, 2002
of steps (1; 1) and (1; 1), which never passes below the x-axis. A peak at height k on a Dyck path is a point on the path with coordinate y = k that is immediately preceded by a (1; 1) step and immediately followed by a (1; 1) step.

Fraud Hexagon Theory in Thai Contexts: Examining Cultural Boundary Conditions of Financial Statement Fraud Determinants, Firm Value, and Sustainable Governance

open access: yesBusiness Strategy &Development, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This study examines fraud hexagon theory's cultural boundary conditions in Thai listed companies, identifying which elements operate universally versus requiring reconceptualization for sustainable governance in relationship‐based Asian economies.

The statistic “number of udu's” in Dyck paths

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2004
This paper studies the enumeration of Dyck paths by the number of \(udu\)'s (up-down-up). More precisely, the enumeration of Dyck paths with given semilength and given number of \(udu\)'s is obtained. An \(udu\) is said to be at low (high) level, if its peak is at level (greater than) one.

Do Major Customers Affect Firms' Environmental, Social and Governance Activities?

open access: yesEuropean Financial Management, Volume 32, Issue 3, Page 946-969, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We examine the role of major customers in shaping firms' environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices. We find that firms with major customer relationships undertake fewer ESG activities compared to those without such ties. The association is attenuated when institutional ownership is high, firms are less diversified, customers exhibit

Leader‐Follower Dynamics in Shareholder Activism

open access: yesThe Journal of Finance, Volume 81, Issue 3, Page 1377-1435, June 2026.
ABSTRACT We propose a theory of coordination and influence among blockholders. Privately informed activists time their trades in sequence to lower acquisition costs, prompting a strategic use of order flows: leader activists create trading gains for their followers, ultimately influencing their willingness to bear greater value‐enhancing intervention ...

A linear-time complexity algorithm for solving the dyck-cfl reachability problem on bi-directed trees

open access: yes, 2013
Today many bug detecting tools use static program analysis techniques to discover the vulnerabilities in programs, and many static program analyses can be converted to CFL (Context-Free-Language) reachability problems, most of which are Dyck-CFL ...

Weighted Dyck paths for nonstationary queues [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We consider a model for a queue in which only a fixed number $N$ of customers can join. Each customer joins the queue independently at an exponentially distributed time.

Working in Failure Contexts: Demotivational Implications and the Buffering Role of Managerial Responsibility and Individual Failure Experience

open access: yesR&D Management, Volume 56, Issue 3, Page 474-495, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Project failures are common in innovative organizations, and mitigating the negative consequences on R&D employees' job attitudes and outcomes is a critical managerial task. While prior research has emphasized the motivational costs and coping mechanisms associated with experiencing personal project failure, the demotivational impact of ...

Intervals in Dyck Paths and the Wreath Conjecture

open access: yesThe Electronic Journal of Combinatorics
Let $\iota_{k}(m,l)$ denote the total number of intervals of length $m$ across all Dyck paths of semilength $k$ such that each interval contains precisely $l$ falls. We give the formula for $\iota_{k}(m,l)$ and show that $\iota_{k}(k,l)=\binom{k}{l}^2$.
