Interfacial Enrichment and Demetallation of a Zinc Porphyrin in the Ionic Liquid [C4C1Im][PF6]

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Upon dissolution of zinc porphyrins with long dodecyl chains in the ionic liquid [C4C1Im][PF6], partial [PF6]‐ hydrolysis occurs along spontaneous porphyrin demetallation. Driven by their buoy‐like chains, the free‐base porphyrins extremely enrich at the outermost surface as proven by angle‐resolved X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, an interesting ...

Investigation of Photoelectrode Materials Influences in Titania-Based-Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Technology, 2014
Solar cells are excellent devices which enable the provision of renewable energy in a safe and easy way. A dye sensitized solar cell (also referred as dye solar cell) is a new type of solar cell, whose operation is based on photoelectronic chemically ...

Unveiling the Photophysical Properties of Indole‐Containing Boron Complexes: Exploring Intramolecular Charge Transfer Character, Tunable Emission, and Large Stokes Shifts

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Indolyl‐imine–based NN complexes were synthesized and investigated to clarify how structural modification tunes intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), resulting in large Stokes shifts and tunable emission properties. Steady‐state and ultrafast spectroscopy, supported by density‐functional theory (DFT), showed that altering peripheral phenyl groups ...

Em busca da sustentabilidade: células solares sensibilizadas por extratos naturais Toward sustainability: solar cells sensitized by natural extracts

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2010
The present work reports the use of anthocyanins extracted from mulberry (Morus Alba L.), raspberry (Rubus Idaeus L.) and blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.) as sensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells.

Prospective Environmental Impact Assessment of Scaling Up Perovskite/Silicon Tandem Solar Cells to Industrial Applications

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
This prospective life cycle analysis evaluates perovskite–silicon (PSC–Si) tandem solar cells (TSCs), assessing environmental impacts from their material extraction to end‐of‐life. We compare the environmental impact of four TSC designs with that of silicon PV, highlighting hotspots in tandem architecture, and explore strategies to reduce environmental

Efficient and Durable Photochemical CO2 Reduction by TiO2‐Immobilized Metal Porphyrin Catalysts

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 19, Issue 7, 14 April 2026.
A dye‐sensitized TiO2 scaffold bearing IrP and 3d‐metalloporphyrin catalysts (M‐TCPP; M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu) drives efficient CO2‐to‐CO conversion and H2 evolution. Robust TiO2 immobilization and rapid interfacial electron transfer within the ternary architecture underpin the markedly enhanced activities relative to the mixed homogeneous systems.

Organic dye for dye-sensitized solar cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Organic dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) comprising at least one electron-acceptor unit and at least one π-conjugated unit. Said organic dye is particularly useful in a dye-sensitized photoelectric transformation element which, in its turn, can
