Facile Access to N‐Substituted Pyridyl Ligands
A modular, robust, and versatile Buchwald–Hartwig amination protocol that enables the rapid synthesis of bipyridine, phenanthroline, terpyridine, and pybox ligands bearing dialkylamine, diarylamine, and heteroaromatic N‐substituents. Pyridyl motifs equipped with N‐substituents can be powerful ligands for catalysis, yet their broader adoption is limited

Predicting solar cell efficiencies using historical data from a manufacturing process
Abstract The solar cell manufacturing data of a passivated emitter and rear cell solar cell manufacturing plant was studied to assess the effects of tool usage and the processing time spent on each tool on the solar cell efficiency. Since manufacturing processes involve several steps with multiple tools, tracing their quality parameters back to the ...

Molecular engineering of cis‐configured unsymmetrical squaraine dyes reveals how branched alkyl substituents regulate aggregation and interfacial charge–transfer processes on TiO2. Steric shielding suppresses H‐type aggregation and retards interfacial recombination, leading to enhanced recombination resistance and improved open‐circuit voltage.

Steric and Solvent Effect in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells Utilizing Phenothiazine-Based Dyes
Three phenothiazine-based dyes have been prepared and utilized as dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The effects of dye-adsorption solvent on the performances of dye-sensitized solar cells based on phenothiazine dyes were investigated in this study. The

Interfacial Enrichment and Demetallation of a Zinc Porphyrin in the Ionic Liquid [C4C1Im][PF6]
Upon dissolution of zinc porphyrins with long dodecyl chains in the ionic liquid [C4C1Im][PF6], partial [PF6]‐ hydrolysis occurs along spontaneous porphyrin demetallation. Driven by their buoy‐like chains, the free‐base porphyrins extremely enrich at the outermost surface as proven by angle‐resolved X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, an interesting ...

Indolyl‐imine–based NN complexes were synthesized and investigated to clarify how structural modification tunes intramolecular charge transfer (ICT), resulting in large Stokes shifts and tunable emission properties. Steady‐state and ultrafast spectroscopy, supported by density‐functional theory (DFT), showed that altering peripheral phenyl groups ...
